On a small scale
Just the two of you. And still everything.
Not every wedding needs a hundred guests. Some need two people, two witnesses and a place where it’s quiet.
Eloping doesn’t mean in secret. It means without the apparatus around it. No seating plan, no speeches, no template for what a day has to look like.
Photographically it is the most concentrated form of wedding. Because nobody is waiting and no programme is pressing, there is time for images that a large day would grind up between two appointments.

What it looks like
Three or four hours — no more needed.
It usually begins shortly before the ceremony: the last quiet minutes, the wait in the corridor, the look in the mirror. Then the ceremony itself, often only twenty minutes, and the congratulations of the few who are there.
After that we walk. To the water, into a lane, up the slope — depending on where you marry. No time pressure, no guests waiting. That is the part couples remember most clearly later.

Where
The lake is big enough for small weddings.
Lindau, Wasserburg, Langenargen, Bregenz — at almost any place on this lake you can marry as a pair without it looking like a compromise. Which one fits depends less on the place than on the time of day and how many people are about.
If you don’t yet know where, look through the index of settings — each entry says when it is quiet there and when the light stands.
What it costs
Fewer hours, a smaller frame.
A small ceremony isn’t a discounted large one but its own form of coverage — fewer hours, less preparation, and the same care in post-production.
What that means concretely I’ll tell you after your enquiry. I put together an individual offer for every wedding, including the small ones.
