Wedding Coverage

Your story, told honestly.

I don’t photograph weddings — I accompany days. Quietly and documentary, with posing kept to a minimum, from the first calm hour to the blue hour by the shore.

Posing kept to a minimum. Above all, what truly happens.

The most beautiful images of a wedding don’t happen on command. They happen at the corner of the eye: the father secretly wiping away a tear, the laughter of the maid of honour, the squeeze of a hand just before the vows. My task is not to stage these moments but to be there when they happen — and to release the shutter quietly, before they fade again.

I work documentary. That means: I don’t put you in the sun and count to three. I observe, read the room, follow the light and stay where the story is. What remains is not a catalogue of posed images but the honest narrative of your day — the way you truly lived it.

Documentary wedding photography by Cori Kasus at Lake Constance
Ceremony in backlight · the moment the tension falls

Lake Constance, Lindau & worldwide

Home for me is Lake Constance. I know the soft evening light over Lindau, the farmyards in the Allgäu, the small registry offices and the big barn celebrations of the region — and that makes the difference when every minute counts. Here I know when and where the light turns, and don’t have to go looking for it.

I just as gladly travel with you. As a destination photographer I accompany weddings worldwide — the olive groves of Tuscany, a chapel in the mountains, a beach at sunrise. Wherever you say yes: I bring the same calm, documentary eye.

The signature

I deliberately photograph in black and white. Without colour, the essentials remain: light and shadow, a gesture, a glance, the texture of a moment. Black and white doesn’t age, it follows no trend — it will carry your story in twenty years just as it does today. From the noise of a celebration comes a quiet, timeless edition that belongs to you.

M & M

One day, five chapters

How I accompany your day.

  1. First hour

    Getting Ready

The dress on the window hook, the mother’s calm hands at the clasp, one last look in the mirror. I’m there before the day gets loud — holding on to the stillness before it fades.

  2. Before the ceremony

    First looks

Whether a private first look or the moment at the end of the aisle: it’s the breath in which all tension falls. That’s exactly where I release the shutter — never before, never staged.

  3. The vows

    Ceremony

Tears no one saw coming, the laughter of an entire pew, the trembling voice at the “I do”. I stay in the background and work with the light that’s already there.

  4. Until late

    Celebration

Speeches that move you, glasses that ring, the first dance in backlight. Coverage means: staying on when others lower the camera — until the dance floor shakes.

  5. When the day turns

    Blue hour

Just before dark, the light at Lake Constance turns soft and honest. Ten quiet minutes for the two of you by the shore — no posing, just you both and the lake.
